Computer is slow [Solved]
It is typical behavior for a computer to sometimes become too
slow on performance. There are both hardware and software related factors
contributing to the matter. Hardware often is easy but costly to resolve, while
as software could be challenging to overcome yet can be risky.
Solutions on
hardware:
1. Check to
see if the HDD is not full. Your hard drive hosting windows should have space free
for windows to process itself without a hustle. If it finds that the HDD is in
full capacity, somehow the speed will reduce. If you have multiple partitions
and your C: Drive is full, consider removing personal data out of the C: drive
to free up some space. You can technically resort to expanding the drive
storage capacity as an alternative to solving the issue.
2. RAM shouldn’t
be smaller to what you’re doing. For instance, a data typist uses Word and
Excel mostly, Google chrome always open and the company software that only uses
13MB of RAM, her computer will need and function easy with a 2GB RAM. But then
a student wants to use a media player, open chrome and Firefox to do her
research while she’s taking notes on word. Her computer runs college software
that are active on the RAM, then she needs atleast double amounting to 4GB. A
gamer for that matter will take from 8GB upto 32GB. See a technician about RAM
fittings.
3. Processor: if it has too much to process, it
shares its strength til it can’t respond and you start now to get (NOT RESPONDING)
on other programs. The easy way out there is to eliminate all processes that
are not necessary to run at that instance. To do; go to Task Manager>Processes>click
on process and click End Task.
Common processes
to end to run windows faster
·
COM Surrogate
·
Teamviewer (running as a background program) if
installed
·
Anti-virus attached software

Any programs running
If your processor is below i3, consider changing it. If
you don’t understand what i3 i5 i7 is, consult Dr. Google or better an IT Tech.
Software
related solves
1.
Programs
Avoid and remove any software that run at the
background all the time. They consume memory and processing capacity while you
do not notice. Avoid installing software with requirements exceeding the
computer you have. Running two to three programs at a time and closing those
not in use at the time.
If all
these do not resolve, then you need to take your PC for repairs.
